With over 30 years of experience behind the chair, Laura Anderson is the heart and soul of the salon she built from the ground up. Her journey began at Toni & Guy, where she not only honed her craft but discovered a deep passion for teaching and inspiring others in the industry. After relocating to Texas, Laura searched for a salon that felt like home — and when she couldn’t find it, she created it. Fourteen years later, her salon stands as a welcoming space where everyone is celebrated and made to feel beautiful. One of her specialties is working with clients experiencing hair loss, offering custom Freedom Wigs to those with alopecia — a true reflection of her dedication to helping people feel confident and seen. Beyond the salon, Laura is a proud mom of three, happily married to her best friend, Lee. When she’s not transforming lives with her scissors, you’ll find her baking sourdough, building custom furniture, or out for a drive in her beloved hearse, Mabel.

Crystal Thomsen- Master Stylist

As a native to Austin, Crystal has seen it all! She knew from an early age that she wanted to bring joy to people's lives and decided to altend cosmetology school. Crystal has been a stylist for over 19 years. She loves stepping out of the box with fun and interesting haircuts, hair colors and styles. She still feels pride in being able to make her clients happy every day.

Alyss Johnson- Master Stylist

My name is Alyss (pronounced uh-lease). I have lived in the Austin area for over 20+ yrs and I have been doing hair for almost 9 years, all of which has been spent at The Salon. I became a stylist after going to college & realizing I needed a more creative & social career. I loved the way coming to the salon made me feel, and what a positive influence my stylist had on me, & I love that I can now give that to my clients. In recent years I have started to get involved with the continued education of our apprentices’, which has brought my career full circle given that I started at The Salon as an apprentice myself. “Choose a job you love, & you will never work a day in your life.” -Confucius

Cindy Saucedo- Master Stylist

Cindy has been in the hair industry for about 10 years. After graduating cosmetology school from Avenue Five she began her journey at The Salon. Cindy enjoys learning new techniques through hands on classes. In her free time she enjoys seeing her family and spending time with her pup.

Allie Hernandez- Stylist

Hello, my name is Allie I was born in Austin, Texas and my passion lies in the creative arts. I view hair as another medium or a moving growing canvas to express the visions of myself and my clients. I enjoy cutting and coloring to create a personalized effortless style!
